LED penlights and LED inspection lights generally have weak and narrow beams. Not the Professional LED Pocket Floodlight™. It has a bigger and brighter beam, so you too can Master the Dark!

The new 3rd generation MAXXEON WorkStar® 220 is many times brighter than ordinary LED penlights - that's a given. But just as important is the size of the beam. The Pocket Floodlight's™ beam is huge compared to other LED penlights. Is it really a floodlight? Well, no, but it is a light that is much more useful than other LED penlights and LED inspection lights. See the "Reflector" line of the performance table for more details. Our LED Pocket Floodlight™ is just what you've been waiting for, so wait no more!

This compact, 6" LED inspection light weighs only an ounce, and clips easily and comfortably into any pocket - always at the ready!

The rugged WorkStar 220 LED Pocket Floodlight™ is designed for technicians for daily use in a demanding shop, manufacturing or maintenance environments. The tough T6 aluminium body is anodized black and is virtually indestructible. All threaded joints have rubber O-ring seals, so it is water resistant. The rugged tail cap switch is rated at 100,000 cycles and is sealed to avoid contamination by dirt and grit. As well, the switch has a momentary action position, in addition to the standard ON/OFF operation.

For our dealers the Pocket Floodlight comes in a display box of 10 units.

Q. My WorkStar 220 Pocket Floodlight™ either won't turn on, or flickers, can I fix it?
A. A small number of the new WorkStar 220s have experienced this issue. Remove the batteries and clean all the battery terminals with a soft cloth or paper towel. Some of the Energizer batteries seem to have dirty contacts; unfortunately this is beyond our control.

If there is still a problem, then remove the head and insert a pair of tweezers into the white disk and remove the disk. The gold-plated, spring-loaded positive contact for the battery will come out with the disk. Turn the head over and let the round printed circuit board (PCB) gently drop out onto a paper towel. Using a Q-tip or soft cloth, gently clean the small circular silver contact on the back of the PCB, the silver ring around the LED on the front of the PCB and the brass ring inside the head that holds the reflector in place. The LED is susceptible to static electricity, so be careful. Drop the PCB back into the head making sure that the LED is facing away from you. Clean both ends of the positive contact in the white disk and then thread the disk back into the head with the tweezers until it is snug. Reassemble the batteries and now the light should work properly. Either the soldering flux was not properly cleaned off the PCB or some machine oil was not cleaned off the brass ring. We apologize for this issue and steps are being taken to clean the contacts properly in the future.

Q. Will the LED break or wear out?
A. No, the LED (light emitting diode) is a solid state device that does not "burn out". However, LEDs do get dimmer as they age. If left on continuously, this LED will start to dim after 10 years. The LED will not break in normal use.

Q. How tough is the WorkStar 220/224/22UV?
A. Very tough — the WorkStar 220/224/22UV will survive a six foot drop onto a concrete floor.

Q. Is my WorkStar 220/224/22UV waterproof?
A. No, the WorkStar 220/224/22UV is equipped with rubber O-rings and is water resistant but should not be immersed in liquids.
